for more information. Frequently Asked Questions We can help you answer your residents' questions about UGBC with ease! How can I get involved in UGBC? Here are a few of the best ways to familiarize yourself with UGBC: - Apply for a position in MLP, or the Mentoring Leadership Program. Get paired up with a current member of UGBC as your mentor, and learn the ins and outs of the student government at Boston College.
- Join the UGBC street team. The UGBC Street Team is an outgoing group of people dedicated to getting the word out about awesome upcoming UGBC events. They have a blast running around campus and advertising things like concerts, dances, and other big programs.
- Join the Red Sox Green Team. In a partnership with UGBC, the Boston Red Sox have implemented a more comprehensive recycling program this year in their creation of the Green Team. This initiative allows fans to "recycle at the seats" as members of the volunteer group go into the seating bowl during inning breaks to collect empty bottles.
What does UGBC do? UGBC is the Undergraduate Government of Boston College. Constantly working to better Boston College in every way, UGBC focuses on student life, academics, university relations and affairs, and social and cultural issues. Current initiatives are improving sustainability, academic advising, transportation, and residence halls. UGBC acts as the mediator between the students and the administration, so that students’ ideas can be represented and heard by the administration. Here are a few things that wouldn’t happen without UGBC: the fall and spring concerts, Modstock, Mudstock, Homecoming, Notre Dame pep rallies, and hundreds more programs like speakers and shows and presentations.
